- Welcome to the Visitor Rebate Program. Non Resident Visitors
who depart Canada by private vehicle or charter bus tour, who
wish to claim a refund of the Goods and Services Tax, the Harmonized
Sales Tax (GST/HST) or the Provincial Sales Tax of Quebec (TVQ),
must have their goods available for inspection and receipts validated
as they leave Canada. Visitors departing Canada by commercial
carrier, including by air, rail, non-charter bus or ferry, must
include their original boarding pass or carrier ticket with their
refund claim. The refund form is available at Tourist Offices,
Airline, Train and Bus terminals and at the border crossing. Don't
wait till the last minute, pick the Rebate Forms up as soon as
you arrive. Keep all receipts and original tickets of travel.
Airline, bus, train, boat, ferry, etc. These procedures are required
to ensure that the goods are exported from Canada. The rebate
can add up to 15% of your purchases. Some items do not quality
